Three Days Grace is a Canadian rock band, formed in Norwood, Ontario, Canada in 1992, under the name Groundswell. After a breakup in 1995, the band reformed in 1997 under its current name and with a line-up consisting of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, and bassist Brad Walst. In 2003, Barry Stock was recruited as the band's lead guitarist.

After signing to Jive Records, Three Days Grace released two studio albums, Three Days Grace in 2003 and One-X in 2006, both of which have been certified platinum and double platinum in the United States and Canada, respectively. "Break" is the first single from Three Days Grace's third album, Life Starts Now. The single was released on September 1, 2009 at 6:45 pm EST for radio play as well as on their website.

On September 11, Three Days Grace announced the music video for "Break" would debut on Yahoo! Music on September 14, 2009. The music video, directed by P. R. Brown, begins with the band members entering separate rooms that match their clothes' colors (Adam wearing white, Barry in pink, Neil dressed in black, and Brad in gray), and shows four balls, matching the aforementioned colors, in a pendulum-like state. The band begins to perform their parts in these separate rooms as giant fans appear and begin to whir. As the song progresses, floating balls are pulled through the fans and hit each band member, leaving them stained with one of their band-mate's colors. The song ends with them exiting down a hall, the four paint balls following them.

Several of the effects used in the video include: Via phantom cams, green screens, polymer, and water-based paint.

"Beautiful" is the seventeenth track on and the fourth single from American rapper Eminem's album Relapse. It was released on May 12 on iTunes available for digital downloads. "Beautiful" entered the UK Singles Chart on May 17, 2009 at #38. It has also been confirmed that Beautiful will be released on August 3, 2009 in the UK. Also in the U.S. it made a "Hot Shot Debut" at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is currently on the B-List of the BBC Radio 1 playlist.

The video was shot in Detroit and it was directed by Anthony Mandler. It premiered on July 2, 2009 on Yahoo! music.

The video opens with a captions stating that "in 1950, Michigan was 1 of 8 states in America that collectively produced 36% of the world's GNP" and that "Detroit was the greatest manufacturing city in the world". It then cuts to present-day images of the city, featuring Eminem walking through three abandoned structures from that era that symbolized the "Arsenal of Democracy" (Michigan Central Station, the former Packard plant, and Tiger Stadium, including demolition footage of the latter), joined by several people appropriate to that building (an older woman with a suitcase, several autoworkers holding their lunchboxes and tools, and a neighborhood youth baseball team respectively). Although the original song contains three verses, the music video only displays the first two.

SONG PREVIEW

"New Divide" is a single written by Linkin Park for Michael Bay's film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The song serves as the film's theme, and was released as a single on May 18th.

"New Divide" was released as a download on May 22 in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Eastern Europe, Turkey, Israel, Taiwan. Zane Lowe previewed it on BBC Radio 1 and speculated that its "introspective" style could be "a sign of things to come" but added that it was too early to make predictions.

The song "NEST" from Steve Jablonsky's Revenge of the Fallen musical score features instrumental excerpts from "New Divide". Linkin Park worked with award-winning composer Hans Zimmer to re-work "New Divide" in the musical score.

On May 14, Shinoda revealed that they are currently recording an accompanying music video for the song. The video, shot on location at Paramount Studios May 13 and 14, is set in an Egyptian cave and was directed by Mr. Hahn, the band's DJ. When discussing the video, Shinoda stated "[Mr. Hahn's] planning on using a lot of really interesting cutting-edge visual techniques, blurring the line between our performance and some kind of digital/mechanical reality." Chester Bennington confirmed that the video is related to the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie, saying on his blog, "Honestly, I don't know what's going on in the video. We're in a tomb rocking out and there's a huge dead Transformer." Linkin Park has released two behind the scenes videos of the music video. The video premiered on the band's Myspace on June 12th, and both photos and footage of the video shoot were posted on Shinoda's blog site.

The music video was released on June 12th and contains the band in the Tomb of the Primes (The 12 original Transformers) where they perform the song. It also contains scenes from the movie itself. Bassist Phoenix is hardly viewed in the video as he had hurt his wrist during the recent recording sessions.

The album's lead single, "Boom Boom Pow", has topped the Billboard Hot 100 for nine consecutive weeks, and is also the group's first chart-topper on any U.S. chart. The second official single from The E.N.D, "I Gotta Feeling", premiered at noonday, May 21 on KIIS FM.

Prior to the release of the album, three promotional singles will be made available for download through the iTunes Store. These are "Imma Be", which was released on May 19; "Alive", which was released on May 23; and "Meet Me Halfway", which premiered on May 28, 2009 and is pending a June 2 release. While "Imma Be" has reached #10 on the iTunes store thus far, will.i.am has confirmed that these three songs should not be regarded as true singles from the album.
